12. (#110P) Outstanding DWM 1916 Production Luger Pistol With Holster – Serial #7707, 9mm Luger cal., 4″ round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The chamber is dated 1916 and the toggle is marked “DWM”. The right side of the barrel extension has the three crown/script proofs next to the Imperial eagle proof and the barrel and breechblock have an eagle proof. Properly marked safety position and extractor. Full serial number on the barrel extension, frame and barrel with the partial serial number (07) on the take-down latch, side plate, sear, safety bar, ghumb safety lever, extractor, toggle and toggle link. Straw colored parts, checkered grips, stock lug and unmarked blued wood base magazine. Complete with a 1915 dated J. F. O. Ludewig brown leather holster, take-down tool and non matching reworked extra magazine with blue body.
CONDITION: Excellent! The pistol retains 95% original blue finish with some minor thinning with some minor edge wear. The side plate is thinning to a brown. There is some very scattered minor pitting. The small parts retain 70% original straw color. The grips are excellent with some very scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering with barely noticeable, extremely small chip missing on the left panel near the thumb safety. This early Luger is mechanically excellent. The holster is very good with exception of tan added rivet on the back, minor flex wear, handling marks and flaking. The stitching is tight…$2,500.00.
